although at the time I wrote this comment I was right, today I am ashamed of the manner in which Chavez has destroyed the economy, the liberties and as a result democracy.

I regret ever believing in his lies upon lies. for that please forgive me.

Reading this article caused me to laugh so hard. what the writer forgot to mention or perhaps omitted to write is that Venezuela today is the strongest economy in Latin america. When Chavez came to power the size of the economy was a mere $100 billions today stands at $250 billions and growing. Hundreds of thousand has moved into the middle class while almost eradicating extreme poverty. Education has reached 11 million of the 26 million Venezuelans. prior to Chavez only 3 million. Micro credits and loans to business has grown 230% since Chavez came to power and infrastructure has been updated with more than 4 metros in different cities, commuter trains and rail links to mainly industrious parts of the country, highways interconnections, created two new cities, built more than 600.000 new home for low income families, Tax credit and loans for people to obtain new means of transportation such as cars, created more than a docen universities, builted more hospitals and gave pention to the forgotten people of advance age, agriculture has been a main focus of the Chavez administration by investing billions of Dollars, tax collection brings in more money than oil revenues today in Venezuela. when Chavez took office oil accounted for 80% of government revenue today stands at 35%. Venezuela is not bound for failure rather bound for great independence and equality for all.
