I bet nothing would stop the democrats' demands
regarding healthcare reform and education policy
quicker than to mandate that they and their
children be required to participate in these
systems, with no exceptions. Not just them but all
of Congress. The same goes for retirement plans.
Look at what they have done for themselves in this area while letting market forces determine
what happens to the rest of us.

What has happened to the issue of securing our borders? Has it been swept under the rug because no candidate wants to hit it head on? This is a huge issue and needs addressing.

Immigration...what about those here in this country illegally? Every single person that is in this country illegally needs to be deported to their country of origin. If they wish to be in the United States of America, they need to make the application, wait the time and pledge the oath! I am all for immigration if done legally - through the process that is specified.

I get tired of hearing about liberals and conservatives. Greed and power is what the election is about, If the conversatives win then that is a win for big oil and the defense contractors. If the liberals win, i don't know who will benefit.

Hey Ricky in Georgia , About your comment on voting : If the liberals in washington firmly believe that they , and only they know what's best for the American people and they firmly believe that they are smarter than everyone else in this country how long do you think it's going to be before the right to vote is taken away ? After all we are just a bunch of god fearing , gun toting rednecks .

Socialistic schemes fail. Liberty and individual initiative have a far superior track record. Improving human life is a terrific motivator. Ron Paul has 90% of the answers. A 3rd party just won't work. The two party system is so entrenched that it will permit change but not a new political force. Republicans are on the right track again. To get the job done Republicans need to move toward Dr. Paul's position.

It is a scary world and growing up is not easy.
Children want and need to be protected and taken care of.
Some people never grow up.
They are called "liberals"...
As the adage goes:
"Someone who's not liberal before (the age of) 30 has no heart. Someone who's still liberal after 30 has no brain."

Only our votes can stop the left, the best step we can take is toward the voting booth.

AS a union member (USWA same as Ms.Palins husband)
I must disagree with you that unions are all against the Republican party. This may be true of the party hierarchy, but the rank and file of the union is pretty much evenly split amongst the two parties and independents.
We conservative members, however can not make inroads at the local or international halls due to the "good old boy network" that control;s who can or can not run.
It is unfortunate that our unions have been hi-jacked by the far left.If the party of Reagan doesnt reach out to us union members, then the unions are going to move farther to left.
You will find most union people are against national health care, because we know we are the ones who will pay for it.You will find that many are for fair trade not free trade, when you think about it the program of free trade works against not only the unions, but against the country as a whole.
I make a decent wage because of the union, not in spite of it. Remmber it was th unions that gave everyone a 40 hour work week and overtime pay for hours worked over that time. It was unions that helped to end sweatshops and child labor in the U.S.
In short the GOP needs us unions member this November, so they need to throw us a bone, a good start would be to quit taxing vaction pay, this would free up a large amount of cash to stimulate the economy.

The Russians spent 70 years proving that central planning is unworkable, and left their nation in a financial ruin.

The U.S. spent that same period tinkering with the educational system, leaving most unable or unwilling to read and understand history's lessons.

Now we are being asked by the DNC to repeat the experiences of that period only because so many subscribe to the nanny state's promises.

It is time for us (as a nation) to start teaching our youth (en masse) about the reasons for success in a capitalistic society and to encourage more entreprenuerial skills and self-reliance. I still feel that a mandatory two years of service with some financial educational assistance afterwards would greatly improve the prospects for our country to persist into the future. For those who do not appreciate the ideals which made the USA great (and preserved through the death of many of our fathers in wartime), I suggest that they seek another country of residence.

Sincerely,
James L. Frobase
