Regina we already have "a democratic presence in an important part of the world", it's called Israel. Why do we need two? Oh and Turkey is also a democratic presence in an important part of the world, so why do we need three?

I agree with your view of the Iraq War and the paragraph you highlighted in Fred Thompson's speech. What we are winning is a democratic presence in an important part of the world.

I do hope that during the convention that the Republicans do focus also on the economy. It is such a vital topic right now. Come on Republicans, share your specific plans for bolstering the economy!

The Military Voting Protection Act of 2008 is legislation that was long overdue and our troops do need to have their voices heard. Fred Thompson delivered a pointed speech and highlights what many voters already know about John McCain. He is a person of honor, clear sense of duty to his country and unwaivering belief in the founding principles of this country. His VP pick supports his beliefs and ideals strengthening the ticket. While many will play the many scenarios of what could happen if the VP would have to assume the position of President of the United States, the only real consideration is character, principle and belief. While Obama is still finding himself inventing his character, beliefs and principles the country is being mesmerized with smoke, mirrors and a hollywood production. Keep in mind no one ever has the experience to become President of the United States, unless elected for a second term. A solid foundation is prerequisite to the most powerful office in the world.
