Friends --

Record profits for energy companies,
don't impress the public with the need,
to further cater to the energy companies.

The public is inclined to believe that
we are suffering an artificially created market spike.
The price of fuel has risen,
so dramatically during this Bush White House,
the association can't be helped between the two.
Is it a coincidence that Oil Men ran the white house,
while Oil Corporations ravaged America with record fuel prices?

The record profits for this market spike,
are some of the most massive cash transfers,
ever seen on earth.

We saw the Savings and Loans operation,
procede under government cover. We saw the Enron
operation, procede under government cover.
Time and time again, the market is spiked,
and it's disguised as the random attempt
of a few greedy individuals.

What we're seeing now is what we've seen before.
It's a systemic effort to combine manipulation, with regulation,
in order to strangle a market into hyper profits.

Without Republicans, particularly several Republicans now howling for 'Energy Reform',
these horrific robberies of the public funds,
could have never taken place.
The GOP let Enron swindle California, for instance.
GOP PR elements *wrote* the "California Energy Crisis"...
is it any coincidence that these PR people worked,
for many of our now disgraced colleagues ?

Conservatives need to recognize the systemic
looting of the public trust under the cover of,
'random' market spikes. Conservatives need to,
own up to our blindness and our responsibility,
if America is ever going to believe us again.

If Conservative and Republican elements had responded in force to the Enron Looting,
they'd have credentials to stand on today.

Both parties ignored Energy Market spiking,
as anything systemic - and whitewashed Enron.
Pelosi made such quacking noises about Enron
- but never did actually get around to going after anybody.

Neither party did.

Now that oil companies have logged record profits,
are we going after them ?

No ?

The GOP leadership wants to unleash deep drilling,
drilling wetlands, drilling reserves... while we are being ravaged
by out of control energy companies.

the GOP response to this looting,
is to go for no-holds drilling ?
Wow.
I think of Abramoff, when I see this disgusting parade.

I think of the energy companies and their scripted situations.

We've been here before, folks, are we really going to point
at everyone else, when in fact, we've been in power then and now.

Conservatives need to bring Big Oil to heel -
not hand over our reserves, as they pillage us
with an artificial market spike.

Where is the party spine at ?!

Robert, thanks for staying on this for the last 10 days. Although the Olympics, Russia v Georgia, and Democrat Convention will distract ... the American public has spoken and they want Congress to step up and do their jobs.
