  • What's in Nancy Pelosi's Secret Sauce?

    Not oil!

In a Washington Post puff piece helping Speaker Nancy Pelosi sell her new book, “Know Your Power,” Pelosi is quoted: “The men had ruled the roost for such a long time, and they liked that environment. They had this attitude of, ‘We know how to get this done, and there’s a secret sauce to it.’ They never said it that way, but that’s how I heard it: ‘There’s a secret sauce, and you can’t possibly know the recipe because we do.’”

Well it sure didn’t take long for Pelosi to develop her own ‘secret sauce’ for ruling the House. The main ingredient? Arrogance. Explaining why she refuses to even allow a debate, let alone a vote, on expanded offshore drilling (a policy position the vast majority of Americans support), Pelosi told the Politico: “I’m trying to save the planet; I’m trying to save the planet. I will not have this debate trivialized by their excuse for their failed policy.”

Got that America? Pelosi’s not gonna have her House “trivialized” by a real debate over the most pressing issue on Americans’ minds, because she is single handily trying to save the planet. Let’s hope Pelosi leaves the rest of her recipe ideas at home.

Why are people so suprised at Pelosi's remarks . That's like being suprised when some poor slob falls into the tiger encloser at the zoo and the tigers have a snack , well DUH ! .This is how socialist elitists act , now LET'S DEAL WITH IT !

      "Got that America?"

      Ya.

      I think I got it.

Nancy Pelosi is going to save the planet with her secret sauce.

It must be a secret Francisco treat.

Nancy Pelosi says "Know Your Power", as she ominously poses on the cover of her book standing between 2 Roman pillars.

Why can't the American people come to their senses? Can't they see by continuing to put Pelosi into office, they are having their rights and freedom removed from her Gestapo tactics. Furthermore, the House of Representatives are a bunch of idiots to have her as their Speaker of the House. I bet that they are now happy, ruining America's greatness and every individual American dream, by using Socialist Government to interfere with our freedom.

Face it. Party affiliation matters more to most people than any other "qualification." Pelosi blocked debate on off-shore drilling because the issue is potentially damaging to Democrats. A substantial majority of Americans support increased off-shore drilling while a large part of their constituentcy is unrealistically pro environment. To allow a public debate in which Democrat politicians will be embarrassed by their rigid support of evironmentalist policies would be damaging to the party.

I know of no "CLEAN" comments that can be made about socialist, Marxist, Pelosi! This country is going to get what it deserves if Obama is added to the mix!!

All I can (or will be allowed to) say if this happens is

      "Heil" to " Obama"

I'm 82 years old and I know what I'm talking about!!!!!

    8. Jewpublican says:

Just who died and made this [rhymes with what a football team does on 4th and long] boss? She couldn't save a dollar on a box of Rice-O-Roni if she had a book of coupons with her, let alone save the planet. This [rhymes with what a batter does when he sacrifices to move the baserunner over] talks about saving the planet, when she should be thinking about saving the American consumer some money at the gas pump!

I always laugh when dopey libs compare Bush to Hitler and call for his impeachment. If anybody is a fascist and needs to be impeached—as well as tarred and feathered—it's Nazi Pelosi and her partner in crime in the Senate, Harry Greed.

(I gotta laugh to keep from cryin'.)

God love her! She said God loves the President too. Wasn't that one of the most heart-warming and heartfelt statements she has ever uttered. Nancy, Nancy, Nancy, she has tried so hard to unite the opposing factors in American government. If you believe this, you probably believe that the prizes in Cracker Jacks are worth saving, or that Buster Brown's dog is still alive and well. (What was that dog's name anyway?) Laying all humor aside, Nancy reminds me of one of my most unfavorite female cousins who spent thousands of dollars to keep me from claiming a paltry two or three thousand dollars from my Uncle's estate. It was not the amount, it was the principle of the matter. And that is where this is leading: Nancy has no principles and no warmth in her bosom. It is a shame that she and the Senate Majority Leader never met early in life and immigrated to Micronesia or American Samoa.

Nancy Belagosi Pelosi, is a disgrace…When will she realize

she works for the people. The people don't work for her. This country is falling apart. The left is destroying the very fabric of this great nation. With the ACLU attacking the pledge in schools to ,Homosexual lifestyles being forced on us, like they are mainstream. We are all told, we need to be PC. All I know is if we don't stand for something, we will fall for anything. God help us if Obama wins. Here is an interesting excerp from Saul Alinsky(Obama and Belagosi Pelosi are Students.)"Reveille for Radicals" (1946) and "Rules for Radicals" (1971).

"Rules for Radicals" begins with an unusual tribute: "From all our legends, mythology, and history (and who is to know where mythology leaves off and history begins – or which is which), the first radical known to man who rebelled against the establishment and did it so effectively that he at least won his own kingdom – Lucifer."

The devil challenged authority and got his own kingdom, and that goes to the heart of what left is really about. That of course is to get power any way you can, including lying, cheating and stealing. The ultimate rule is that the ends justify the means.

Alinsky asserted that he was more concerned with the acquisition of power than anything else: "My aim here is to suggest how to organize for power: how to get it and how to use it." This is not to be done with assistance to the poor, nor even by organizing the poor to demand assistance: "[E]ven if all the low-income parts of our population were organized … it would not be powerful enough to get significant, basic, needed changes."

Alinsky advises his followers that the poor have no power and that the real target is the middle class: "Organization for action will now and in the decade ahead center upon America's white middle class. That is where the power is. … Our rebels have contemptuously rejected the values and the way of life of the middle class. They have stigmatized it as materialistic, decadent, bourgeois, degenerate, imperialistic, war-mongering, brutalized and corrupt. They are right; but we must begin from where we are if we are to build power for change, and the power and the people are in the middle class majority."

Tghe Power is fooling the middle class. Sounds very much like Obama's attempting to do. Once In He will create his own kingdom not vey much different to Lucifer's.

Nancy Pelosi, please leave the walls of Congress and go back home to the land of fruit & nuts where you belong. You should be ashamed of yourself for allowing Congress to recess for 5 weeks before doing what's right for the American people, that is lift the ban on off-shore oil drilling. That's right Nancy, your arrogance & self-centeredness will cause more suffering of the Americans who preserved your freedoms against Nazi's & Socialists who thought we were ripe for the picking! You better reconsider and thank God (remember Him)for the Greatest Generation, who are now suffering because you can't see the forest through the trees! You should be relieved of your duties, and go live with the real everyday people who will have to make a decision on whether to eat or pay outrageous gas/oil prices and fill the coffers of terrorists!

This bold action by the remaining House members could have within-it the roots of a groundswell energy-debate originating from the Conservative side. I would go so far as to say that it should.

Nancy Pilosy has indicated with her “save the world” comment which tack she will take during her role in the liberal-obstructionist-energy-policy saga.

As the Global Warming Theory with all of it’s flaws and unproven presumptions is carried forth into actual policy and law throughout the world, we can’t ignore the groundswell of frustration felt by ordinary citizens, not just scientists, at the wasted ‘energy’ being brought-about in our societies.

As the keystone to liberal policy regarding all-things environmental(energy policy etc.) this ‘theory’ needs to be adressed in a careful, calculated way using reason, good science, and existing evidence to start to diffuse the rationalle used by neo-environmmental policy makers everywhere.

I am disturbed to watch one of the key statements from the legitimate Scientific Community languishing outside of the debate. It is in the form of the ‘Petition Project’, and it casts doubt as to the need for the reactional policys and laws to the unproven “proven theory” of global-warming. This is actually a product of the scientific-community in the United-States, because scientists have signed their name to it’s statement. This should give it the legitimacy to be noticed, and a high priority among those in leadership who want to refute the current dynamic action of the left. Those leaders owe to those that have signed the petition to us it as the tool intended. Many of these scientists are indignant about liberals and other opportunistic forces co-opting their pursuit.

As the Al Gore monolith grows and makes itself ‘felt’ in real and unreversable ways, and cannot be written-off simply by expressing incredulity, so to can the side of reason and good science not afford to continue a disjointed approach of opposition.

Good luck to those forty-or-so of you…there are a lot of us out here that are ready to lend our support to some simple, common-sense…and even somewhat old-fashioned energy policies which you may articulate and bring-forth to the ‘white-hot’ scrutiny of the people.
