  • Right to Bear Arms Not a Partisan Issue

As the two videos below show, one from Sen. Kay Bailey Hutchinson (R-Tex.) and another from Sen. Jon Tester (D-Mont.), leaders in both parties share the belief the Constitution’s Second Amendment is an individual right of all Americans unconnected with service in a militia. Today’s Supreme Court decision affirming this understanding is a welcome development for our republic.

It is a strange thing how people think about the Constitution and the Bill of Rights. Especially the 2nd Amendment, because without the 2nd Amendment, the words on those documents are but words. The 2nd Amendment and no other, give credence and teeth to the rest.

It is about time this country woke up and smelled the freedoms we are in danger of loosing everyday. Chalk one up for the real people of this republic. Long live Antonin Scalea

Today, the Supreme Court ruled in favor of freedom. The Second Amendment states that each individual American has the right to bear arms, regardless of situation with militia. This is a victory for individual freedom and for gun owners and all Americans. This upholds the case for well-qualified, conservative judges who will strictly interpret the Constitution and the laws of the land. These judges include Scalia, Roberts, and Alito.
