I'll give you a strategy for this boarder problem, tell the Pakistani goverment that if they will not take care of the boarder insurgents than we will. Even if it means we have to go deep into these lawless territorys. They clearly cannot control their people, or worse they are working with the terrorist. That would explain the worthless treatys that they have been making.

Think, if they are on our side like they have allways said they were, then just allow us to come in and clean up the mess. The only reason why they would not let us do this is because they are in alliance with the terrorist.

My plan may be too aggresive and may cause a war but if thats what it means than so be it. I'm 2 months away from boot camp and i'm ready to do my part.

"Washington should avoid being viewed as meddling in Pakistani internal politics, including working toward the preservation of President Musharraf, whose role and influence are declining in Pakistan."

It's a bit late for that isn't it? Thanks to our aggressive promotion of Mrs. Bhutto (who it would appear was forwarding nuclear technology to the North Koreans), we've in essence replaced Gen. Musharraf with an almost unworkable relationship. Moreover, Pakistan is now far more unstable than it was prior to our attempts to influence their election. This is almost reading like another CIA op gone horribly wrong (think the Shah).

In many instances, less is more...and perhaps the United States ought to consider that piece of advice before it goes off to try and remedy what was a foolish strategy (Mrs. Bhutto) to begin with.
