The Heritage Foundation
Leadership for America

Our Vision

Building an America where freedom, opportunity, prosperity, and civil society flourish.

About The Heritage Foundation

Founded in 1973, The Heritage Foundation is a research and educational institution—a think tank—whose mission is to formulate and promote conservative public policies based on the principles of free enterprise, limited government, individual freedom, traditional American values, and a strong national defense. We believe the principles and ideas of the American Founding are worth conserving and renewing. As policy entrepreneurs, we believe the most effective solutions are consistent with those ideas and principles.

The U.S. Chamber of Commerce put together a great chart on the regulatory apparatus that would be needed to implement the economy-killing Lieberman-Warner global warming legislation. Not only would this be a massive expansion of government, but it would also have a devastating impact on states.

Why can’t we have what’s left of the free market take care of it?? Why does the government have to stick their nose in this???

The irony is that these jackasses believe that we believe that they care about us or the environment. Wake up America – the enemy is at the gate. If either Hilary or Obama is teamed with a Democratic/Socialist Congress the road to perdition will be expanded to sixteen lanes. Of course, the Congress will, as usual, exempt themselves from any of the rules that may somehow apply to them. To paraphrase Tiny Tim – God help us everyone.

Haven’t you heard? Chicken Little said that the sky is falling, and everyone believed her. So, here is Al Gore and all his bunch saying that the planet is falling apart and everyine is believing him! The only difference is that Al Gore and his followers have found a way to get rich off of this scheme, and we are dupes if we follow. Wake up, America, this is just a regular recurring cycle of nature and it, too , will change into another phase, if it hasn’t already started.

This bill is further proof of the need for term limits. The longer politicians stay in Washington, DC, the more conservative brain cells they lose.
