May 19th was the four-year-anniversary of the first negotiating round of the U.S. Colombia Trade Promotion Agreement. Rep. Jerry Weller (R-IL) distributed a “Dear Colleague” letter this week highlighting how far Colombia has come since then including:

• Terrorist attacks are down 76% over the past 5 years
• Homicides are down 40% in the past 5 years
• Kidnappings are down 83% since 5 years ago
