Echoing the sentiments of conservatives, Jay Leno last night on “The Tonight Show” chided Democrats for their repeated opposition to oil exploration in the Arctic National Wildlife Refuge. Leno’s punchline: Democrats say drilling in ANWR wouldn’t produce any oil for 10 years — the same point they’ve been making for more than 10 years now. President Bill Clinton vetoed legislation in 1995 that would have opened ANWR to oil exploration.

Yes, we should have been drilling in ANWR ten years ago, but if we start now, in another decade the dimocrats won't be saying, "It'll take ten years to get the oil." Also I'd like to ask how many actually took notice of the correlation between President Bush's lifting of the ban on offshore drilling and the subsequent fall in the price of oil? The lamestream media seems to be spinning every which way they can to try and not connect the two events, eventually just settling on "mysterious", how pathetic.

And since the oil futures market prices oil considering future supply/demand as well as present day supply/demand, if we opened up ANWR today, even though the oil would not get here for 10 yrs, it would still lower prices today. The 10 yr claim was always a dem lie, and still is.
